FOOD FOR THOUGHT

When you come to Christ, God gives you a new mind; a new heart; a new spirit; a new direction. He takes you out of your poverty and brings you into this incredible treasure that His presence always brings. But if you don't love Him more than "these things," you are going to get waylaid. Yes, money is necessary to buy clothes and food, and to pay the bills, but you cannot love it more than Jesus.

Questions to ask oneself?

1. Do you Love me more than job security?
2. Do you love me more than your friends?
3. Do you love me enough to let me lead you?
4. Do you love the image of me before me?
5. Do you love me more than personal wealth?
6. Do you love Jesus?

John 21:18-19

Psalms 38:19-22
But they are strong who have hate for me without cause: those who are against me falsely are increased in numbers.  20 They give me back evil for good; they are my haters because I go after the thing which is right.  21 Do not give me up, O Lord; O my God, be near to me.  22 Come quickly to give me help, O Lord, my salvation.

Psalms 39:1
I said, I will give attention to my ways, so that my tongue may do no wrong; I will keep my mouth under control, while the sinner is before me.

Psalms 39:3-4
My heart was burning in my breast; while I was deep in thought the fire was lighted; then I said with my tongue,  4 Lord, give me knowledge of my end, and of the measure of my days, so that I may see how feeble I am.

We can see from reading these varies scriptures in the book of Psalms that its not easy FOLLOWING Jesus Christ but (a conjuction; something to come) There is a promise "COVENANT" God made with his people from the beginning of creation. His plan for our life will never fail, failure is not in God's vocabulary. He never said we wouldn't suffer for a time but in our preparation give Him worship.

Worship is the key ingredient for us to continue to follow Jesus Christ. We have been taught how to praise but worship come from within you. You can't fake worship or convice God to change His plan to accomadate your plans.

He is soverign and will move on your behalf when we worship him and him alone.

In His Righteousness
